Fibromyalgia/Depression
A Beautiful Story Reiki Works! Barbara's Story I am 65 years old and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia many years ago. Besides the very severe pain, it made me very depressed. Also, I was on antidepressants for 20 years. This is my story that I wanted to share so that it might help others like it has helped me. It has truly changed my life. I had no idea what to expect! I had not realized that the human touch could be so powerful with sacred energy. I had instant improvement. Also, it felt so good to clear my mind. I so felt the energy. From the beginning, my aches that were so severe went down to the point where I could say it just really hurts. I do not fully understand what was happening. It is almost too good to be true. Also, I did not realize how depressed I had been. I do not know at this point in time if I am more excited about the pain relief or not being so depressed any longer. I saw my doctor for a semi-annual checkup. As soon as he walked in the room, he said, "you look like you feel good." I said, "I do". He laughed and smiled and hugged me. He then said, "whatever you are doing , keep it up." Briefly, in the couple months the Fibromyalgia and it's all over body pain is in remission or healed. My ankles do not hurt even though the problem has not been surgically repaired. The chronic stomachache is healed. I have stopped taking an antidepressant drug that I had been on for 20 years very carefully with my doctor's input. Also, I do not take any prescription pain medication and have so much more energy. My severe depression is healed. I am so very grateful to God that he has brought this healing to me through Ruth, my reiki master practitioner. I can stand for the entire service at church which I have not been able to do for a couple years. I can feel the adjustments that have taken place for me in mind, body and spirit. Now, as a pastoral assistant, I can see more patients at the hospital, I can go shopping, I can walk my dog more and I can help people more. Comment from the Reiki Master: I know so many of you do miraculous healings everyday, but because I am 80 years old, may Barbara's story be an incentive for others in later years to learn Reiki just to be giving or for a small business. Ruth Reiki really can change lives! Reiki for Pets ________________________ I've had a torn Achilles tendon and a bone spur for about a year. At my Reiki I class my back was hurting me more than my foot and so I asked to focus more on it but one person did work a few minutes on my foot. About two weeks after the class I realized that my foot hadn't hurt since the class and a month later it is still pain free. I even tested it by moving my foot certain ways that would usually be painful and there was no pain. I did some Reiki as well as some pulse point realignment (both in conjunction) and she (my hairdresser)/(hairdresser #1) loved it! She said that she had been having terrible back pain and hadn't been to the chiropractor for some time. She really didn't care what I was going to do to her, she just wanted something to help. After I finished, she walked into the salon beaming and acting very calm, laid back, and generally chilled. She is NEVER like this. She's more of the high-strung, always a crisis going on, abrasive-type person. The other lady (hairdresser #2) couldn't believe the change in this woman's demeanor and wanted whatever the other one got! Hairdresser #2 also thought that #1 had smoked something illegal in the back due to her change in demeanor....apparently it was THAT noticeable and dramatic. My husband, Leo, is an athletic trainer for the local high school football team. He works with kids to get them strong, teach them agility (ability to move quickly), and keep them healthy. An important football game was approaching. The visiting team had been picked to win over our team and it was imperative that we win the game to set the team mentality for the rest of the season. I asked Leo if there was anything I could do to help him and/or the team and he suggested that I do Reiki on the "boys." So I got Leo's team picture that included nearly 70 kids and about 6 coaches, and worked on it twice before the "important game." I noticed that the left and right margins of the picture and the row of coaches (my husband included) were the areas of intense heat and buzzing. I saw the first half of the "important game." Initially, things were going really well...for the other team. By halftime, our team had scored several times and taken the lead. When I talked to Leo after the game we won, he said that the coaches and most of the kids had a really good attitude prior to and during the game, even when things were going well for the other team. He asked that I keep the team picture and work on it weekly. The next week I only worked on the team picture twice since I was busy with work. Leo was convinced that I had spent all week working on the picture...I didn't correct him, only that I had worked on the picture as I had been asked to. This game was against the three-time state champions and required a long trip to the other side of the state. I didn't hear from Leo until after the game...they won, even though one of their buses stopped working enroute to the game and they had to unload, reload and board a bus from another school. The first week of working on this team picture, I employed all symbols that I knew from Reiki 2. I figured dealing with nearly 80 males meant there were lots of things going on separate and apart from the actual game of football. The second week and after my Reiki 3 class, I used all the symbols from Reiki 2 and 3, and some from the Magick of Reiki book, to work on the team picture. The difference I noticed in working on the team picture for 2 weeks was that I didn't have to work near as long the second week as I did the first. It was like the team had become receptive to the Reiki energy and was still digesting it from the first week and didn't require as much the second week. However, during the second week, the row of coaches produced the majority of heat and buzzing instead of the kids. I think it was because the coaches were generating lots of worry and concern about the upcoming game. C.K., Harrison, AR |
